ABOUT DAVID

I am a lifelong resident of Wallingford and a son to the late State Representative Mary G Fritz and Bill Fritz. From a very young age, my parents instilled in me a strong sense of responsibility to others and taught me the importance of public serve- giving back to your community, being truthful in your words and actions and honoring your commitments. Growing up in a large family of six, I learned the invaluable lessons of compromise and importance of working through differences while still being supportive, loyal and unified.

As a father of three 19-year-old triplets-David, Olivia and Michael and husband to my extraordinary wife, Ariana, I gained a deeper understanding of responsibility. They solidified the lessons my parents taught me about putting others before yourself and encouraged my commitment to service. They are my daily reminders of what matters most.

Professionally, my work takes me to construction sites across the state, where I have developed a strong work ethic and a practical understanding of the challenges facing working families and local businesses. Beyond my career, I have remained deeply engaged in my community: coaching high school lacrosse, serving on the USA Hockey Board of Directors, and organizing fundraising efforts in honor of a childhood friend who lost his battle with cancer.

Through these experiences, I have learned that meaningful service requires dedication, time, and sacrifice. I fully recognize that serving as State Representative is a significant responsibility. It is a commitment that will demand long hours and difficult decisions. But it is one I am prepared to undertake with seriousness, humility, and determination.

Over the past decade, I believe the 90th District has not been represented in Hartford with the level of advocacy and dedication that it deserves. I say this with great respect, but also with conviction. I had the unique privilege of witnessing firsthand what true representation looks like through my mother’s service. For more than 30 years, she worked tirelessly on behalf of this district. Activley listening to constituents, addressing their concerns, and fighting to bring resources and opportunities back to our community.

For too long, we have seen neighboring communities benefit from strong, engaged representation and leaders who actively fight for their towns and deliver results. I firmly believe that Wallingford and Middlefield deserve nothing less. Our district deserves a representative who is present, responsive, and relentless in advocating for its people.
